地雷はおもちゃではありません!

One day, as occasionally common practice, Toki disappeared and would return as she disappeared, except covered in ash and laughing in amusement. However, it was not known where but it was known that she would appear as mysteriously as she disappeared. Her behaviour made Jinx and Spin suspicious but not enough to investigate as one thought it would. What Toki was up to was not too far from explanation, in fact, it was the causable reason that she was covered in ash. The reason is that Toki was going to an abandoned property with a minefield.

Toki continued going to what she called her 'playground', until one day was set to change how she saw the very reality of the danger said 'playground' happen to pose. While she, Jinx, and Spin played a game away from home, she grew bored and wandered off with Jinx and Spin unaware that she had gone. The minefield was a decent distant away and Toki was dead-set on going.

After a little bit, Jinx took notice to Toki's absence.  "Hey, Jinx, where's Toki?" he asked. Spin stopped what he was doing and looked up before he said "She probably got hit by a car like last time." Jinx had never forgotten the time Toki got hit by a car and could never forget when they got in trouble, even if he forgot the aforementioned reason.

"How many times have I told you not to play in the street?!" was what our mother was screaming in their faces but we seemed not to listen. Aside from any cuts, scrapes, bruises, and tire tracks, Toki was fine and seemingly unaffected, suffering no real ill effect. She was cradled and we received a slap to the face that so hard Toki felt it. She felt it but wasn't even the one to get slapped.

He went over his thoughts but found them to be irrelevant to the current situation. Spin returned to what he was previously doing, until Jinx punched him in the arm and said "We were the ones watching her, we gotta find Toki!" Spin rolled his eyes and thought Toki's twelve and a half, she'll be fine.

Meanwhile, as time went, Toki was heading off to one of her favorite places. As one has already known, a minefield is place meant to trap intruders with unseen dangers but, to Toki, who has yet to see this danger, it was playground, fitting to what she liked.

"All Toki has to do is cross that shark denture place (a field full of bear traps) and the street then Toki can go the playground!" she said in utmost amusement. Having been frozen in block of ice as time passed for about seventy or eighty years, she had reverted back to a time before then, rendering her mindset infantile and leaving her with no sense of danger

Without any care, she proceeded to walk about the field of bear traps until she stepped in one. She let out a loud high-pitched screech in pain. Having no real sense in removing it, she let it stay and continued on.

Jinx and Spin were rather surprised that she would think of going to that minefield regardless if she lost a leg or not. "I didn't know Toki was determinator." Spin said. When they tried to reach her, she had already crossed the field and was at the street. The minefield was just across another field. "Toki, come back, you'll be badly injured if you go!" Jinx yelled.

His plea did not fall on deaf ears and Toki responded with a defiant "No!" Spin called out to her with the same warning and she responded with same answer. She crossed the street and into another field, with Jinx and Spin hot on her heels, trying their hardest to reach her.

They had managed to catch up with her but found she already climbed the fence. Not knowing what else to do and fearing punishment, they went after her. With her trapped limb, Toki stepped on a timed detonation landmine, which takes about five minutes to explode. However, in trying to save her, the brothers sealed their own fate, when they too each stepped on a landmine of the same type. Things had changed in the instant the mines detonated.

It was not known exactly how long the siblings were unconscious. The siblings were three foot distance away from each other. The first of the three to wake up was Jinx, who awoke to a very gruesome discovery. His right arm was missing and his siblings had lost body parts as well.  Jinx was missing his left arm and his ear lobe but Toki was laying face-down in a puddle of blood, her right leg missing. It was uncertain if she died or not.

When Spin awoke, he screamed, "JINX! There are lots of things we can lie about but we can't lie about this!" Jinx took a good look at Toki and, thinking of his and Spin's survival, he came with only idea his little pea-brain could give and that was lying. He didn't know what to do with Toki and came to the conclusion of leaving her there. "Listen, there is nothing either of us can do, so I say we leave her and tell our mom that she ran away." he said.

"LEAVE her?! Dumbass, have you lost your mind? No, dude, I don't think so!"

"So?"

"So nothing! If we leave her, our mother is going to wonder where she went and she's going to blame us! Have your mind not crossed that?!"

"What other options do we have, Spinner?! What other options?! It's easier to lie than tell the truth."

"Dumbass, we're bloody and there is now way we can avoid her asking how we got this way in the first place!"

While the brothers quarreled over what to do with Toki, they were to find out she had not died, rather, she was unconscious. She had awakened with a new concept of reality and her infantile mindset had gone. She stared up the sky and thought, I'm alive! Gingerly, she reached her arm to feel her leg and found it gone. Her brothers were quarrelling to the point of utter ignorance to their situation.

At the reality of what happened and how much danger they were in. She turned to them, catching their attention, and harshly said, "I think we should either tell the truth or should we lie here pay the price of our undoings with our own blood and let death do us part (To put it simply: Either we tell the truth or die)." The brother knew not what else to do except follow what she said. Holding on to each other, they went home and confessed to what had happened before passing out of blood loss.

They were sent to hospital, where the doctors frantic efforts to save them had payed off. Ever since that day, everything changed and Toki remembered to keep this lesson in mind: Landmines are not toys!
