Ran's Date

Usually, a shikigami doesn't get out much and Ran is one those such shikigami. She would often dream about a night where she would have at least one date with a kitsune and how happy that would make her. As far she knew, it would never happen but, after pondering it, she figured her mistress wouldn't mind, after all Yukari often didn't need anything done that night and she did quite deserve it. Of course, Yukari was more often than not a tad lazy to keep watch over her shikigami and, with her constant sleeping, she wouldn't notice Ran missing. After awhile, Ran did go out into the forest one night and was overjoyed at seeing a kitsune of white.

With few words and smiles, Ran and the kitsune went out and had a lovely dinner under the stars. She was quite blissful and was pretty satisfied with new date, especially since she hadn't seen any kitsune since she became servile and that was when she was young child. It seemed that her and her date were speaking in a silent language all their own, which needed no words, but the enjoyance of each other's short company, under the silver light of the moon and to the faint glow of candlelight. After dinner, the two sat together and admired the stars, Ran asking, "The night is lovely isn't?" The two sat there counting, admiring, and piecing together constelations and pictures out of the stars. When the night was almost over and as it was nearing midnight, Ran turned to leave, thanking her date for a lovely evening.
