Literature Text

She sits,...alone
Bleeding
The world monochrome with

Red being the only splash of color

She's alone, she knows this
And has been for some time
The hope long gone

To the right sits an IV line
A lifeline
However, the line has been cut

Like a severed vein

Blood pools
And the scissors lie bloodied
On a blanket of white

That line cannot be repaired
And neither can her heart
So the blood pools

She bleeds, yet she does nothing

Allowing the blood to pool
And her heart to bleed
She's lost hope

Her lifeline is severed
And she sits alone
In a dismal monochrome world

With the blood
from her severed vein,
Her lifeline

The only splash of color

Her heart bleeds
Her irreparable lifeline severed
She's all alone, without hope

The blood continues to pool
From a broken lifeline

A severed vein
A poetic adaption of a picture based on my anguish
